caving

Today we took a guided caving trip. We had a short boat ride to a beautiful and uninhabited island. We were taken up to a hole in the rock face and lead down half a dozen concrete steps to a ledge in a huge dark cave full of water and told to jump in!! It was incredibly scarey as you couldn't see the bottom and you wondered what was in there with you? But the guide assured us it was safe so in we went! The back of the cave was vast and open and the light poured in from above, giving you a beautiful blue pool.

Unfortunately we don't have any photos of the second cave, as you had to swim through an underwater tunnel to get to it!! Bloomin scarey but well worth it!

crab racing

The locals put on an international crabrace for us. We had to bid on the crab that we wanted...I got Lady Sue and Matt got Kings Bloody cross. Unfortunutly we didn't win but met some great people!!

first day in coral view

We had a walk around the island and discovered this little beach which we had all to ourselves.

"I've got a lovely bunch of coconuts...diddledeedee!!!"

bure

After a 5 hour boat journey we arrived at our first destination, the village run resort of Coral View, on the island Tavewa. BULA!!! (hello in Fijian!).
This is a pic of our Bure whilst on the island and the view from it! wow!

Yasawa islands

With only a short time in Fiji, we had to try and make the most of our time and see as much as possible. So we decided after landing in Nadi to take a tour of the Yasawa Islands.
